Before you contact us

Many issues are resolved by checking the basics:

  • DuoLens requires iPhone (not iPad), iOS 16 or later, and camera, microphone, and Photos (save) permissions.
  • Dual Lens mode only appears on compatible hardware (typically iPhone XS / XR or newer) and when the device reports multi-cam support at runtime.
  • Finished recordings are saved to your Photos library as separate portrait and landscape files when a session completes successfully.
  • If recording fails, confirm free storage, that the device is not overheating, and try restarting the app.

Common questions

Where do my videos go after recording?

When you stop recording successfully, DuoLens saves the portrait and landscape files to your Photos library. They are not uploaded to any server.

Why don’t I see Dual Lens mode?

Dual Lens is shown only when your iPhone supports Apple’s multi-camera capture APIs. Older or unsupported devices fall back to Single Lens. The app checks capabilities at runtime. Dual Lens also uses a free watermarked trial before Lifetime Pro.

The app asks for camera, microphone, or Photos access — why?

Camera and microphone are required to record video and audio. Photos access (add only) is required to save finished files to your library. DuoLens does not read your existing photos.

I can’t save or recording stops immediately — what should I try?

Check Settings → Privacy & Security for DuoLens permissions, free disk space, and whether iOS is reporting thermal throttling. Closing other camera apps and restarting the phone often helps.

Why does the website say dualframe.cam if the app is DuoLens?

DuoLens is the current App Store and home-screen name. The website stays at dualframe.cam, the original product domain. Some materials may still mention DualFrame as the former name.

What is Free vs Lifetime Pro?

Free includes Single Lens dual-format recording at 1080p30 plus basics like pause/resume and Quick Gallery. Dual Lens and Front + Back include a limited watermarked trial (300 total seconds or 3 recording starts). Lifetime Pro removes the watermark and unlocks unlimited dual modes plus advanced capture features.

What is Front + Back mode?

Front + Back records with the front and rear cameras in one session for reaction-style content. It is available during the free dual trial and with Lifetime Pro, subject to device support.
