Last updated: April 2, 2026  ·  Effective date: April 2, 2026  ·  Application: DualFrame (iOS)  ·  Developer: golfy.sk

The short version

  • DualFrame collects no personal data of any kind.
  • Your videos are saved only to your own Photos library — never to any server.
  • No account, email address, or sign-up is ever required.
  • No analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or third-party trackers are embedded in the app.
  • No location data is ever accessed or stored.
  • Camera, microphone, and Photos permissions are used only to record and save your videos.

1. Introduction

DualFrame (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is an iPhone video recording application that captures simultaneous portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) video files. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the rights you have regarding that information.

By downloading or using DualFrame, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

DualFrame is designed to collect no personal information. Specifically:

2.1 No personal identifiers

The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, device identifier, IP address, or any other personal identifier.

2.2 No account or registration

DualFrame does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any credentials to use the App.

2.3 No usage analytics

The App does not include any analytics SDK, crash-reporting library, or telemetry system. We have no visibility into how you use the App.

2.4 No location data

The App does not access or record your location at any time. No GPS, Wi-Fi location, or coarse location data is ever collected or stored.

2.5 No advertising

DualFrame contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising identifiers (including Apple's IDFA).

3. Device Permissions

DualFrame requests the following permissions from iOS. Each is used solely for the stated purpose:

Camera— Required to capture video footage through your iPhone's camera(s). Video frames are processed locally on your device and written directly to the output file. No camera data is transmitted externally.
Microphone — Required to record audio alongside your video. Audio data is written into the output file on your device. No audio is transmitted, streamed, or stored externally.
Photo Library (Add/Save) — Required to save the finished portrait and landscape video files to your Photos library. The App saves files to your library and does not read your existing photos or videos.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking camera or microphone access will prevent recording. Revoking Photos access will prevent the App from saving finished recordings.

4. How Your Video Data is Stored

All video and audio data captured by DualFrame is:

  • Processed entirely on your device using Apple's AVFoundation framework.
  • Written to temporary local files during recording.
  • Saved to your Photos library upon successful completion of a recording session.
  • Never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, cloud storage, or third party.

The App does not maintain any database, server connection, or persistent storage outside of your device's local file system and Photos library.

5. Third-Party Services

DualFrame does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect data. This includes:

  • No analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
  • No crash reporting services (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry).
  • No advertising networks.
  • No social media SDKs.
  • No cloud storage integrations.

The App uses only Apple's first-party frameworks (AVFoundation, PhotoKit, Metal) that are part of the iOS operating system.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Because DualFrame collects no personal data, there is nothing to share or disclose. We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any user information to any party.

The only data movement that occurs is: your video files are written from the App directly to your own Photos library on your own device.

7. Children's Privacy

DualFrame does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Because we collect no data, there is no special handling required for children's information.

If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us at golfy.sk@gmail.com.

8. Data Security

Since DualFrame does not collect or transmit personal data, the security of any such data on external servers is not applicable. Your video recordings are protected by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and are subject to Apple's iOS data protection framework.

9. Your Rights

Because DualFrame does not collect personal data, standard data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) do not apply in the traditional sense. However, you retain full control over your data:

  • Your recordings are stored in your Photos library and can be deleted at any time.
  • You can revoke any App permission at any time via iOS Settings.
  • You can delete the App at any time, which removes all App data from your device.

10. Apple Platform Privacy

DualFrame is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple's own privacy practices govern your use of the App Store, Apple ID, and related Apple services. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
